Spa Treatments and Activities bookings are only available to Owners and overnight guests at The Lakes By Yoo Estate.
Only Day Spas may be booked by non residents.
Spa Treatments may only be booked for guests over the age of 16.
Arrival:
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your treatment or package in order to complete your treatment consultation form and to relax. If you are late, then unfortunately your treatment may have to be shortened so as not to inconvenience the next guest. The treatment price will remain the same.
Cancellation policy
Day spa programmes and treatments require full payment upon booking. All bookings require a credit or debit card payment at the time of booking.
At least 7 days notice is required for cancelling Spa treatments or Spa Days. Treatments or Spa days cancelled with less than 7 days notice will not be refunded.
Any bookings made for spa treatments or activities by guests who are not owners or overnight guests will not be honoured and will not be refunded.
Activities bookings are non refundable.
Health
As some treatments, including Cryotherapy, are not suitable for certain conditions, we will ask you to complete
a treatment consultation form when you arrive for a treatment or spa programme. It is important to let us know of any medical issues, surgeries or pregnancy.
For pregnancy within the first trimester, we do not recommend any body treatments. We do however offer a pregnancy massage available for customers past their first 12 weeks.
What to wear
Swimwear is required for all wet areas of The Spa, including the pool and thermal area. Gym attire is required for those working out in our gymnasium. For guests having treatments, a robe is provided and it is recommended to wear either swimwear or underwear beneath.

Please note payment is taken in full when the booking is made, the card details are not held as a reserve.
The Spa Rules as set out in the Estate Regulations which you agree to abide by are as
follows:-
SPA Schedule
1. General
A. All residents/Guests will be required to undertake a 15 minute induction of the spa facility.
B. Access to the Spa is restricted and access keys will be required each time a person uses the gym and spa areas. It is essential that anyone under the age of 16 is not provided with adult access keys.
C. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed into the pool area or gym without parent supervision for health and safety reasons.
D. During the designated opening hours the electronic access fobs will provide access to the secure areas of the building, namely the main entrance/Club House, Changing Facilities, the pool area including the sauna and Steam Room and the and gym. There is a swipe box located at the entrances to these locations, to enter these areas the access key must be swiped across the sensor and the electronic door will open. For safety reasons the electronicsystem must register the entrance of the key holder so swiping when entering is compulsory.
E. Access to our treatment rooms, Ice Bath and Cryotherapy Suite are prohibited unless you have a confirmed appointment and are accompanied by a fully qualified therapist.
F. Pets are not allowed into the Spa.
2. Opening Times
A. The Spa is available for use every day of the week 52 weeks a year. The Spa opens at 6am with the pool, gym and spa closing at 10.00pm. During the day there are certain times dedicated to different types of user. These will be notified from time to time and can be checked with staff at any time. This applies to the pool, club room facilities and the outdoor facilities. Please note that these times of opening may fluctuate depending on usage and the time of year and according to appropriate management of the facilities available.
3. Other Facilities
A. Children must be supervised at all times in the club room and particular care must be taken supervising them when the fire is on because the glass screen to the fire will be hot to touch when the fire is operational.
B. Both ladies and gentlemen’s changing rooms are equipped with electronic lockers. Once belongings are inside the locker simply close the locker press C and the 4 digit code that you wish to use. To open the locker enter the 4 digit code that you preset. C. All users will be required to bring their own towels.
4. Safety In case of an emergency
There are alarm panels in the foyer If any alarms are activated the relevant area where assistance is required is indicated by these panels.
5. Main Pool & Lake Swimming
A. Everybody must shower before entering the pool area using the showers at the Spa.
B. The pool is 20m by 8m in size with an even depth of 1.2m. The swimming pool is NOT supervised by a life guard at any time so for health and safety reasons children under the age of 16 must not be allowed into the pool unattended.
C. All infants who use the facilities must have the correct swimwear and a swim nappy on.
D. Please note the following additional pool rules:
· No Diving – this is due to the pool being a depth of 1.2m
· No Running in the pool area
· No eating or drinking in the pool area
· Please do not enter the pool area just after eating or
when under the influence of alcohol
· Personal camera equipment is not permitted in the pool
area
· No Smoking
· No Shouting
· Appropriate swim wear must be worn by all pool users
· No body oils or creams (suntan, baby oil, etc.) are
permitted in the wet areas
· Do not under any circumstances open any of the outside
doors to the pool area
· For any emergencies in the pool area there is a panic button located at the sauna and steam area. This is linked straight back to the Lakes Security system. Once pressed assistance will come as soon as possible
· Infants must wear waterproof nappies
Glass is not permitted in the pool side area
6. Steam & Sauna
A. The steam and sauna are available for use from 7am –9.30pm. These are both set using an automatic thermostat at an ambient temperature.
B. There are infrared sensors situated in the pool area. These will pick up when you enter and boost the sauna and steam up to the required temperature.
C. Please note this process with take about 15 minutes so these rooms will not immediately be at the required temperature.
D. There is a panic button located between the steam and sauna. If you require assistance please push the button.
E. Please note the following additional steam and sauna rules:
· As a general guide please do not use the steam or sauna for longer than 20 minutes every one 1 hour. This is for your own health and taken from recognised guidelines for steam and sauna use.
· Please do not use the water from the pool in the sauna
· Please do not touch the sauna stove
· Please do not use the sauna or steam room directly after eating or under the influence of alcohol
· Please shower before and after using the steam room and sauna
· Please consult your GP if you are unsure as to whether you should use the facilities
7. Gym
A. All equipment must be wiped down using the towels provided after each use.
B. If you have any questions about the equipment or find anything that is damaged the user must let a member of staff know.
C. Please note the following additional gym rules:
· No food allowed in the gym at any time
· You may not enter the gym unless you have been inducted by a member of staff
· Do not drop the free weights
· Cover mats and benches with your towel when working out
· Wear correct gym clothing and non marking trainers
· Return all equipment to its correct place after use
· Please refrain from indulging in any noisy activities that may distract other gym users
· Please do not use the gym when under the influence of alcohol
· Please do seek medical advice before using this equipment if you have any medical conditions
8. Restricted Areas
Guests are not permitted to access treament rooms, The Ice Bath or Cryotherapy Suite without a confirmed booking and a qualified therapist present. Access is not permitted under any circustances to the Pool Plant Room and Kitchen. Access to all of Internal is controlled by our door access system to prevent unauthorised access. The Ice Bath is locked when not in use.
9. Guests of Owners
A. Accompanying guests in the spa:- If you would like to accompany your guests into the Spa with you then they will not require an induction. The safety of Spa guests will be the responsibility of theindividual who is accompanying them and therefore, before your guests enter the Spa we do request that you explain all rules and regulations that are contained in this document. We will provide them with access keys for the duration of their stay at the lakes if requested by the home owner.
B. Inducting guests into the Spa:- If you would like your guests to have access to the spa but do not wish to accompany them then you must thoroughly go through all information contained in this document and as set out in your own induction with your guests to induct them. For the safety of your guests and the safety of other users it is essential that all spa users are fully aware of all the rules and regulations contained in this document as well as all information given to you during your induction. If you require any help inducting your guests or feel unable to induct for any reason please do contact the spa team and they will arrange a convenient time to induct your guests for you.
Each of the paragraphs of these terms & conditions operates separately. If any court of relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
