With over 20 years of experience as both an elite international swimmer and a coach/teacher who supports every ability—from beginners learning to swim to international-level athletes—Cassandra brings a wealth of expertise to help you begin your open water journey. Cassandra represented Great Britain at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in the 10km open water swimming event, where she won her Bronze medal. Cassandra is only of only 3 British Swimming atheltes to have ever won an Olympic medal for the 10km open water swimming marathon. Originally from Cornwall, she is one of open water swimming's true legends.

These sessions are ideal for swimmers who are comfortable in a pool, whether swimming freestyle or breaststroke, but who may be new to open water swimming. They are designed for those looking to discover the well-being and holistic benefits of being in nature and submerged in cool, open water.

The sessions will focus on:

• Acclimatising to the water

• Building confidence with breathing and submerging your face

• Improving efficiency with sighting

• For more advanced swimmers: navigating effectively in open water
